Chick McKissick’s Munificent Marinade Recipe

Steak PlateFolks, don’t get me wrong…. I like vegetarians.

Even though most folks in Watervalley think vegetarians are just lousy hunters, if someone wants to be the Potentate of Tofu, that’s fine by me.

That’s why my munificent marinade isn’t just good on all kinds of meat, it’s great on veggies like zucchini and squash…. especially when cooked on the grill. But I have to tell you…when you put it on steaks…it’s a life changing experience!

So make up a big batch and keep it in the fridge. Use some as a marinade and the rest as a dipping sauce. Heck, it’s even good on tofu!

Ingredients

½ Cup Soy Sauce

½ Cup Vegetable Oil

¼ Cup Worcestershire Sauce

2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar

¼ Cup Brown Sugar

1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic (About 3-4 cloves)

2 Tablespoons Chopped Yellow Onion

1-2 Teaspoons Fresh Ground Pepper

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and stir thoroughly.

In a separate bowl or zip lock bag, marinade meat for at least two hours before grilling. Marinade veggies in separate bowl or bag for at least one hour before grilling. Drizzle unused marinade on top of steak before serving or use as dipping sauce.

Double recipe as needed.

Oooowie! It’s good! Let me know when you make some…. I’ll be right over!
